Saint John's Wort is an oral capsule preparation. The stated 3 capsules serving provides Organic St. John's Wort flower, leaf and stem 1,050 mg. Saint John's wort is a botanical preparation associated with mood-support research. Constituents such as hyperforin, hypericin and flavonoids have been investigated for interactions with neurotransmitter-related pathways. The finished product supplies the herb or extract specified by its composition. Its nutritional botanical identity is defined by that preparation and amount; an unstated level of hypericin or hyperforin is not inferred from the plant name alone.
