Algal Omega is an oral softgel preparation. The documented 2 Softgels serving provides Algal Oil 1,470 mg, Total Omega-3 770 mg and Docosahexaenoic Acid 450 mg. Algal oil provides a non-fish source of long-chain omega fatty acids, with DHA and EPA quantities determined by the product composition. These lipids contribute to cell membranes, neurological tissue and retinal structure. The formulation is characterised by its algal origin rather than being treated as fish oil, with total oil and individual fatty-acid amounts kept separate.
