Menaquinone is an oral liquid preparation. The documented 2 drops (0.002 fl oz/0.056 ml) serving provides Vitamin K [as MK-7 45 mcg. Vitamin K contributes to the activation of proteins involved in normal blood coagulation and skeletal metabolism. It acts as a cofactor in gamma-carboxylation reactions that enable specific proteins to bind calcium. Phylloquinone and menaquinone forms have distinct chemical structures. The preparation supplies the vitamin-K forms stated in the composition.
