Menaquinone is an oral capsule preparation. The stated 1 Capsule serving provides Vitamin K 120 mcg and Certified Organic Whole Food Blend 225 mg (total blend). Vitamin K contributes to the activation of proteins involved in normal blood coagulation and skeletal metabolism. It acts as a cofactor in gamma-carboxylation reactions that enable specific proteins to bind calcium. Phylloquinone and menaquinone forms have distinct chemical structures. The preparation supplies the vitamin-K forms stated in the composition.
