Hydroxymethylbutyrate is an oral capsule preparation. The documented 3 Capsules serving provides Calcium 180 mg and myHMB Calcium ß-Hydroxy-ß-methylbutyrate monohydrate 1.5 g. Beta-hydroxy-beta-methylbutyrate, commonly called HMB, is a metabolite of the essential amino acid leucine. It has been studied for its role in muscle-protein turnover, particularly during demanding training or reduced activity. This preparation supplies HMB in the form identified by the composition.
