Fish Oil is an oral softgel preparation. The documented 1 Softgel serving provides total omega fatty acids 950 mg (EPA 504 mg; DHA 378 mg). Fish oil supplies long-chain omega fatty acids, principally EPA and DHA when documented. These lipids participate in cell-membrane structure and the formation of signalling molecules, with DHA particularly relevant to neurological and retinal tissues. The amount of fish oil is distinguished from its EPA and DHA content, because the total oil quantity is not equivalent to the active fatty-acid concentration.
