Cholecalciferol is an oral tablet preparation. The stated 1 Tablet serving provides Vitamin D 100 mcg. Vitamin D participates in calcium and phosphate regulation, intestinal calcium absorption and normal bone mineralisation. Its active metabolites interact with vitamin-D receptors involved in cellular gene regulation. Vitamin D also contributes to normal neuromuscular and immune function. Cholecalciferol and ergocalciferol represent distinct vitamin-D forms within nutritional preparations.
